Wow In White

Sometimes the simplest looks make the most significant impact. White always looks fabulous in a floor-length, simple cut, as it is a timeless and elegant look.

If you love Margot Robbie, you’ll be inspired by the white, off the shoulder dress she wore to the 2018 Oscars! As Jessica says, “The best part of Margot’s look is that it is not difficult to emulate, with so many gorgeous options available without the couture price tag!”

Glitter In Gold

Metallic fabrics are all the rage for the current season, and gold looks absolutely sensational! This tone and fabric were well represented at the 2018 Oscars, with stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Lupita Nyong’o knocking their red carpet glam out of the park.

Jennifer wore a strapless, shiny, glittery, floor-length gown looking every bit the screen goddess. Jessica says if you want to use J-Law for inspiration make sure you are careful to check whether champagne or gold suits your skin tone best. Jessica says, “Metallic fabric can also be a little unforgiving so you can opt for gold sequins instead.”

Pretty In Pink

There’s something about pink that makes you feel so feminine, and it’s no different when it comes to picking out a lovely, pink prom dress. Softer pinks, as well as nude pinks, are really on trend right now, and this is definitely inspired by the red carpet!

Saoirse Ronan looked terrific at the 2018 Oscars in a simple, floor-length pink gown. It complimented her pale skin tone perfectly, which is one of the best things about pink, but especially nude pink. “Nude pink has an almost chameleon quality to it, as it suits just about any skin tone,” says Jessica. “It’s hard to go wrong with a nude or dusty pink prom dress!”

Sparkle In Silver

One way to really stand out in a sea of prom dresses is to go for bright, sparkling silver. There’s something about this tone and style that is fun and flirty!

If you are looking for a muse, look no further than Gal Gadot – Wonder Woman herself! She was absolutely sensational at the Oscars in her long, silver gown! If you want to soften and tone down this look, Jessica suggests looking at a dress in a ball gown style with a metallic, sparkly or beaded silver bodice and tulle, floor-length skirt.

Breathtaking In Blue

Blue can be one of the most stunning colors, which also suits almost any skin tone, depending on the shade. Emily Blunt was seen in a pale, misty blue at the Oscars which looked beautiful with her pale skin, but can leave others looking a little washed out.

Another blue to consider is an ocean blue – bright, bold, confident, and commanding. Megan Markle recently wore this color in Fiji, and absolutely lit up the room! “Royal and ocean blues look absolutely sensational for medium and darker skin tones,” says Jessica. “Even if you are not feeling confident, long prom dresses in this shade will certainly make you look regal!”
